Rural Enterprise Exmoor Business Networking – 23 November – Wheddon Cross

For those people running businesses on Exmoor.

 A chance to meet face-to-face with business owners and stakeholders from across Greater Exmoor. 

There will be short presentations throughout the day and representatives from Exmoor National Park Authority, North Devon and Somerset Councils, Federation of Small Businesses, and Visit Exmoor, as well as several local business owners sharing their insights, challenges and suggestions to inspire others. 

11am to 1pm – Session 1
Enterprising Exmoor – relevant to all sectors we’ll be considering progress against our vision for Exmoor’s rural economy and the business climate / opportunities going forward. There will be updates on planning and how businesses can respond to the climate challenge and we’ll hear from 3 different enterprises sharing their stories.

1 – 2.30pm – Networking lunch – for all

2.30 – 4pm -Session 2
Tourism – it’s in our nature – aimed more specifically at those in the visitor economy there will be some general updates on initiatives to support tourism on Exmoor. We’ll also focus on how people can benefit from connecting to nature and how we can help reach new audiences. As well as local businesses sharing their experiences we will have an opportunity to hear from Exmoor Rangers too.

Your £6 registration fee will help to cover refreshments – Tea/coffee available all day and a light buffet for lunch.

You can register for the whole day or the morning or afternoon only. The networking lunch takes place from approx. 1-2.30pm and is included in all tickets. Advanced registration essential.
