Avon and Somerset Police have introduced a GPS Tracing Device for vulnerable adults who go missing, it is estimated that 70% of people living with dementia go missing once in their life, and some go missing multiple times with life threatening consequences, also available are yellow wristbands with features the Forget Me Not Flower which is synonymous with dementia, the wristbands are available free of charge via online application to the Avon and Somerset Dementia Safeguarding Scheme also details of the GPS Tracing Device.
