The Jubilee committee meet for the last time on Monday, and the committee thought we would keep residents informed of the final arrangements. Bunting on the green and around the village will be put up on Wednesday (1st June) in the afternoon, please feel free to put your own bunting up outside your house. The green will be converted into a celebration event with marques, chairs, benches and tables laid out during the weekend leading up to the opening on Sunday 5th at 12.30, during the afternoon there will be live music, maypole dancing, a display of flags designed by the children and adults of the village, duck races, a display of vintage vehicles, a group photograph and a display of photographs of past Queen’s celebrations in the village also thoughts back in time by residents who remember the coronation in 1952. There will be no timetable for the events so as to keep the atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable.
