The council have been informed that the appeal against the construction of the mast at Halse Farm has been upheld by the Planning Inspectorate at Bristol after a site visit, it is envisaged that Exmoor Park Authority will not appeal against this decision, and the withdrawal of the planning application for a mast at the top of Furzhill Lane is expected. The Inspectorate has recommended that the mast could be used by mobile operators to offer commercial mobile coverage within the Winsford Village area which currently has poor coverage.
