As residents are aware the swings on the green had to be removed completely in the summer due to the condition of the stays after a report by the Playground Inspectorate, this has resulted in Sue Hayes starting a fund to replace the swings, at present the fund has raised over £6000 due to various events and donations against a target of £10,000. The council on behalf of the Winsford Trust have already arranged for two contractors to visit the site with a decision to be made by the end of November, a target has been set that the village will have the new swings in operation by Easter next year.
