The council are aware of the serious crash that happened at Spire Cross during Saturday night, which involved a vehicle leaving the road and demolishing the road sign warning motorists of the length of vehicle allowed down Halse Lane, luckily the vehicle missed the ancient finger post. The accident scene was cleared up on Monday and the demolished post has been reported to Somerset Highways who will replace it as soon as possible,
