Somerset Libraries – New Service

Good morning,

Somerset Libraries have introduced a new free service to anybody who loves reading but is unable to access a library due to long term illness, mobility issues or caring responsibilities. The idea is when a resident contacts the Home Library Department they will arrange a for a volunteer to visit. They will ask what you like to read and the best times to visit you, usually on a fortnightly or monthly basis. The volunteer will choose the books and deliver them to you, you can also be provided free with audio books and DVD’s. All volunteers are DBS checked provided references and have be trained. For more details of this service telephone 07814 079831, see the website www.somersetlibraries.co.uk or see the new poster in the shop and noticeboard.
