The Parish Council have been advised by SCC Highways and Western Power that there will be road closures, diversions and temporary interruptions of power during the next couple of weeks. This is due to replacement poles and cabling necessary for the electricity supply upgrade.
The Steep and Ash Lane are closed from today – ongoing. A diversion is in place from Stone Cross, Exford directing traffic towards Winsford and diverting it either up Oldry Lane or Furzehill Lane. This is presumably due to roadworks on the B3224 Exford to Wheddon Cross road, which is ongoing.
The first power interruptions are due 08:00 until 18:00 on Tuesday 19th July in the area of Exford Rd, at the North end of the village and again on Thursday 21st. There will be further interruptions of power, in other areas of the village next week.
Finally, there are tree works occurring on A 396 from Bridgetown towards Tiverton from today 18th July until 8th August.
