Good morning,
The council along with the village would like to congratulate Brenda Staples on her mammoth effort last Saturday to play the first verse of every hymn in the new church hymn book, which was in excess of eight hundred hymns. Brenda started at 9.00am and finished at 6.15pm, with a break of only 30 minutes at lunch time. The final amount of money raised is not yet available but at the last count it was over £3000 for church funds. This generosity recognises the high esteem that Brenda holds in the village.
