Halse farm Emergency Services mast

Following communication between Winsford Parish Council and the Home Office, they have confirmed that the build for Emergency Services mast at Halse farm has been completed. The next step is for an electrical meter to be installed and then the site will be passed to EE to provide the transmission required to connect the site to the core network and activate it for use by the Emergency Services. The provisional date for the mast to go live is Q3 2023.

This mast is an Extended Area Service (EAS) mast and the Home Office does understand the assets should be shared for the benefit of the community to help improve mobile coverage in remote and rural parts of Britain. All mobile network operators will have the opportunity to provide a commercial service through the Shared Rural Network(SRN) but there is no date for this.
