DEFRA are extending the funding for their Farming in Protected Landscapes programme. This scheme forms part of the government’s ‘Environmental Improvement Plan’ and supports land managers and farmers working in protected landscapes.
£1.2 million has already been allocated to Exmoor with funding now extended until March 2025. Projects supported by this scheme include orchard restoration, tree planting, meadow restoration and moorland grazing management.
