Damaged Grass Verges

Good morning,

Parishioners have mentioned to councillors the damage that is being caused to the edges of the verges throughout the village and asked whether it would be possible for boulders to be placed on the verges.  The verges in the main are owned by Somerset County Council who have advised that if boulders are placed on the edge of a verge it is considered a safety hazard, therefore if boulders are to be used they must be placed at least a metre from the edge.  The council would recommend that if any parishioner decides to place any boulders outside their property they should comply with the above recommendation.

Stay safe.
