Confirmed sighting of an Asian Hornet in Kent.
This is a serious problem and if you spot them please report to DEFRA or via the Asian hornet App. If possible, take a photo of it and an exact location so it can be tracked to its nest and destroyed. One Asian hornet can eat 50 honey bees a day!
What to look for…
– much bigger than a wasp -up to 2” inches in length
– yellow “socks” on each leg
– deep orange head
– black thorax
