The Winsford Trust would like to thank the parishioners who helped to remove the timber and chippings and then contributed to the cost of felling the tree. Â The reason the butt of the felled tree was left at about two metres high was for health and safety reasons, mainly to stop children climbing, with the possibility of falling down the bank into the Wynn.
