Somerset Carers Service can provide information and support to unpaid carers – including people who are not claiming carers allowance.
One of the challenges in reaching unpaid carers is that some people don’t see themselves as unpaid carers, either because they don’t like the label, or because they are ‘just’ looking after their partner, child, or friend. This means lots of people are not aware of the range of support available to them.
