To enable the Winn Brook to be cleared urgently of the Hemlock Water Dropwort weed by an outside contractor, the council are asking residents if they would not park along the wall between the Packhorse Bridge and the War Memorial from early morning on Monday 8th July, so that the weed can be deposited on the road for its removal, as you are probable aware the roots of this plant can be dangerous, so the council advises all residents especially with dogs to avoid touching the weed, it is expected that the work will be completed in the afternoon.
The council will be putting cones and tape along the wall on Sunday evening and removing as soon as the work as been completed.
