Avon and Somerset Police have advised residents on Exmoor especially around Withypool and surrounding villages to ensure that their cars are looked and valuables hidden or not left in parked cars, this follows an incident in the carpark at Withypool on Saturday 21st May, when a car was broken into by smashing the front passenger window further damage was caused to the frame when it appeared the offenders tried to prise open the door, once inside they stole a wallet containing cash which was in the central console, a jacket and sunglasses. Additionally two other vehicles in the car park were damaged and entered, one with a smashed windscreen and the other a smashed passenger window.
