Parishioners in Ash Lane will have noticed that no work was carried out yesterday to replace a BT pole, this was because the pole had already been replaced in August when the new fibre line was installed, but Utility Services from Sheffield had not been informed. The road sign contract was for an eight hour day, therefore the signs were not collected until late in the day.
The removal of dieback Ash trees will start today on Exford Road starting from Northern Mill cottages working towards the village with traffic lights in operation. The work is expected to last until the end of the week. The Ash tree on the car park opposite the garage will also be felled this week by the same contractors.
