Good morning
Another sad day for every resident of the village with the passing away of Brian Smart, Brian had been a very active member of the community for many years including gardening for residents (who he used to do with Brian Mogg who also passed away a couple of weeks ago) and would be always willing to answer any gardening questions, his other love was being a founder member of the indoor bowls club held at the village hall every week, but he will always be remembered for sitting in the corner of the Royal Oak in the evening with a glass of whisky recalling his time in the Korean war and putting the world to rights, he was such a lovely man always willing to help, a nice sense of humour and great company, Brian will be sorely missed. We pass on our deepest sympathy and condolences to Kath and the family.
